Family Promise of Northern Kentucky partners with Welcome House to Maintain Family Shelter Program.

[Covington, KY] Welcome House of Northern Kentucky, a homeless non-profit agency located in Covington, KY, has joined in partnership with Family Promise. Family Promise is a group of individuals, community leaders, faith communities, corporate partners and civic organizations working together to change the lives of homeless and low-income families in Northern Kentucky by creating sustainable independence. Family Promise utilizes local churches and their congregations to provide shelter specifically for families struggling with homelessness.  Welcome House will continue to partner with the congregations involved in the organization for a seamless transition to provide our homeless population with additional resources for sustainable independence. The official announcement was made on January 14, 2021.

The Board of Directors from both organizations felt a partnership was a natural fit and a progressive opportunity for both Family Promise and Welcome House.

“The Family Promise of Northern Kentucky Board strongly believes that to continue the Family Promise mission it was necessary to provide additional resources to our families, which Welcome House is equipped to provide.  The additional resources will be beneficial to our families’ success,” says Julie Neuroth, Board Chair of Family Promise of Northern Kentucky.

The partnership of Family Promise of Northern Kentucky fits into Welcome House’s mission to provide a continuum of services in an effort to take our most vulnerable neighbors from housing uncertainty to housing stability. With Family Promise of Northern Kentucky and Welcome House joining forces, Welcome House will be able to enhance its mission and begin sheltering entire families, which is a service that is desperately needed in this community.

“This move provides both organizations a chance to enhance services, improve communication between agencies that often see a similar list of clients, and achieve the kind of operating scale that tends to promote long-term nonprofit sustainability. Family Promise is a valuable asset to our community and we are honored to continue its mission,” says Danielle Amrine, CEO of Welcome House of Northern Kentucky, Inc.
