The Employment/Benefits Service Area includes Employment and the Social Security Outreach Programs.  The employment team assesses clients' working abilities, guides with job readiness activities (including interview skills and resume building), and helps clients obtain and maintain employment.  In addition to employment services, Welcome House also assesses and files applications for homeless and low income individuals who may qualify for Social Security Benefits.  Clients in this program have a severe mental and/or physical disability that prevents them from working full time and keeping steady employment.
