On August 17th, members of the Welcome House Outreach successfully entertained over 285 guests at the eighth annual “W.H.O.’s Coming to Dinner” with Jack Hanna. Jack Hanna, author and conservationist, and his “wild” friends greeted and provided entertainment for the audience with over 14 animals from several countries! Channel 5’s Pete Scalia served as master of ceremonies for the event while raffle chances were sold by the BenGal Cheerleaders. In addition, a live auction encouraged many to participate in the evening’s philanthropic spirit. The event, held at the Cincinnati Airport Marriott, was a huge success for Welcome House and raised over $40,000.
The presenting sponsor for the evening was First Financial Bank; gold sponsors were Direct Express and Griffin Industries.
Proceeds from the event went to Welcome House programs, which provide a full continuum of care for individuals who are homeless or at-risk of becoming homeless.
