Mardi Gras 2008, held at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center, was yet another successful annual event to benefit homeless children in the Greater Cincinnati area. Over 1,500 people attended the event which was sponsored by the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky Restaurant Association held on Fat Tuesday, February 5th, 2008.
Guests enjoyed a wide variety of food and beverages from over 45 restaurants. The evening was a true celebration as people enjoyed the Dixieland Jazz music, royal parade, silent auctions, live auction, face painters and much more! In attendance was the Queen of Mardi Gras, Kit Andrews, the King of Mardi Gras, Mike McConnell and Grand Marshall Jim Breech.
Proceeds from the event are utilized to feed children who are homeless at Bethany House, Brighton Center’s Homeward Bound, Mercy Franciscan at St. John in Cincinnati, and Welcome House of Northern Kentucky.
