| Description: | From homeless to Harvard...it’s an unlikely turn of events. By age 15 Liz Murray’s mom had died and she was homeless-living on the streets, riding the subway all night and eating from dumpsters. Determined to take charge of her life, Murray finished high school in just two years while camping out in New York City parks and subway stations. In 2009 Murray received her B.S. in Psychology from Harvard University. Lifetime Television also produced a movie about her life, From Homeless to Harvard. Murray’s life is truly a triumph over adversity. Join us on Friday, August 6, 2010 as Liz speaks at our 11th annual Welcome House Outreach Dinner. Individual Tickets ~ $125 Table sponsorships are still available. For reservations or more information call Ashley Anderson at (859) 431-8717. |
